Meeting point: mayhaus, Im Burgfeld 136, 60439 Frankfurt-Römerstadt
The Römerstadt Siedlung is arguably the best-known neighborhood of Neues Frankfurt. Built around 1928, its rows of houses nestle along the banks of the Nidda River on the hillside. Inside, the neighborhood captivates visitors with its many green spaces. The ernst-may-gesellschaft has restored one of the houses in accordance with preservation guidelines and furnished it largely in its original style. A highlight of the mayhouse is the original Frankfurt-style kitchen, which has been preserved. On International Museum Day, we are offering an English-language guided tour of the house. The tour will take around 60 minutes. The entrance is free.
